Have you ever thought you are not ready to face greater challenges in an uncertain future? Are you concerned that education detached learners from their local context, controlled and pressured to conform to certification standards, and labeled as either "successful" or "failing"?

If you have those questions above, you may want to embark on an educational experiment: taking parting and co-creating learning spaces where you and young people can freely explore the world, learn together, play, connect with communities and the Earth, and tackle society's major challenges.

Short introduction about The Soil Project
The Soil Project was born as an alternative choice for individuals who feel that traditional education is not suitable for them. As an alternative to university and gap year program- The Soil Project will provide the foundation, community, and necessary resources for learners on a journey of self-discovery and exploration, serving the world beyond. The Soil Project is a semi-structured, self-directed education program that takes place in various contexts and countries across Asia.

Who is The Soil Project for?
- Young people craving freedom, independence, eager to explore themselves and the world.
- Individuals seeking an open-minded learning environment, respecting creativity and individual thinking.
- Those desiring practical experiences, equipping comprehensive skills to become independent, happy, and self-reliant citizens who aspire to make a positive impact on the community and society.

The program is age-unrestricted, suitable for participants aged 16-40.

OVERVIEW OF APPLICATION PROCESS
- Application opening time: from 1st November, 2024 to 15th January, 2025
​
- The process of admission includes 3 phases:
1st phase: Fill in "Application form & Personal essay"
2nd phase: Personal interview & Interact with TSP Team
3rd phase: The Soil Project Camp 2025​

- Cost: As we want to build inclusive learning spaces regardless of financial background, we encourage participants to pay as much as they can.
Suggesting amount: pay by each module (6 months/module) $1500- $3000, monthly from $250- $500/month (not including insurance and travel expenses).
​
Since we have a flexible financial structure and we don’t receive any outside funding, the program may be modified according to available money. Entrepreneurship by the design, participants may receive the challenge of making their own money or can work during the self-design months to pay the modules fee.
Financial support on a case-by-case basis.

- Language: both English and Vietnamese (however, the possibility of English input is not required, English learning can take place in parallel with the program)
